Clip is built around a simple idea: the things you save are yours. Here’s how the app handles them.

What Clip stores
You choose what to save: text, links, photos, files, titles, notes, collections, and related item details. Clip stores your library on your device. It may create local search indexes, text recognized from images and PDFs, keyboard previews, and temporary clipboard data so its features work.
Clip does not run a Senzu-hosted content account or upload your saved library to a Senzu server. Text recognition and keyboard suggestions run on your device. Clip does not monitor the clipboard in the background; clipboard capture requires an action you take.
Optional iCloud sync
If you enable sync, Clip uses Apple CloudKit to place your library in your private iCloud database and keep it available across devices signed into your Apple Account. Apple provides this storage and controls the associated account. Sync is optional; without it, the library remains on your device. Your private iCloud data counts toward your iCloud storage.
Keyboard and permissions
The Clip keyboard reads the saved items it needs from shared storage on your device. It can use nearby text in the current field to rank suggestions; Clip does not send that text to Senzu. Apple’s optional “Allow Full Access” permission enables the keyboard to access saved attachments and the clipboard for features you explicitly use. You can turn the keyboard or Full Access off in iPhone Settings.
Clip asks for camera access only when you choose a camera or document-scanning feature. Choosing a photo through Apple’s photo picker gives Clip access to that selected photo, not your entire library.
Purchases
Apple processes App Store payments. RevenueCat helps Clip check subscription status and restore purchases. Those services process purchase and subscription identifiers and related transaction information. RevenueCat does not receive your saved library for this purpose.
Support messages
If you contact us, we receive the email address and information you choose to send. Please avoid including sensitive saved items unless needed to resolve your request. We use support messages to respond and investigate issues, and retain them as needed for support, safety, and legal obligations.
Your choices
- Delete individual saved items in Clip; export your library from Settings → Export everything.
- Turn optional iCloud sync off in Clip. Disabling sync does not itself erase copies already stored in iCloud.
- Change camera, keyboard, and Full Access permissions in iPhone Settings.
- Manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple Account.
For questions about access or deletion, contact hello@clipapp.io. Because Clip has no Senzu-hosted account, we cannot directly access a library stored only on your device or in your private iCloud database.
Children
Clip is a general-purpose productivity app. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information through a Senzu account.
Changes
We may update this policy as Clip changes. We will revise the effective date above and provide any additional notice required by law.
